Hey all! Been lurking here the past several weeks, and due to recent events with my trt, decided to join looking for advice.
I'll save that for later/ proper board.
Be 65 before long (few months), lifted in my 30-40's, lived on Met-RX, involved in accident, all that went out the window. 20 years later, 240 pounds (6'2"), smoking/drinking myself into oblivion. Tired of killing myself while Drs not doing shit other than milking insurance, so decided I'd take control of my own health.
Dropped the bad habits, monitored caloric intake, and bought a bench, rack, 200 lbs of plates/oly bar and some spinlock dumbells. About 18 months later I was 190 lbs, and in the best shape I'd been in decades, and felt it. Pretty much stuck with All-Pro routine (FB 3x week).
Things were going great, wanted to see if I could hit a double BP at bw, and ended-up killing my shoulders. In the midst of that it felt like the bottom dropped out, of everything. No energy, couldn't sleep, didn't GAF about lifting, and life was turning to shit again.
Kicked-around getting test checked....and did.

Got on trt (will save that for another thread), started feeling better, back to lifting, stopped flat benching (went to strictly incline), and easing back into things because joints have had time to recoup. Also, have a fucked-up total knee replacement on a leg I'd torn the ligaments/tendons out of as a kid. Orthopedic surgeries in the 1960's weren't the best, so I have one quad 3" smaller in diameter than the other.
Anyhow, just an intro for an old fart who doesn't have much to add other than to serve as a bad example for others , so I'll be taking more than giving.
