Hello cyber friends!!

I have fallen down the rabbit hole and stumbled upon love for this pull-up challenge youtube channel :

I have put this on my travels bucket list to figure out where this parking lot is so I can someday be featured in one of these videos.

In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone wanted to sign up for a ugbb pull-up competition. The winner shall receive 1 compliment each from every other fellow competitor.
It can't be just "nice pull-ups" LOL

Understand if you sign up and do not win, you need to be prepared to compliment the winner.

We can pick a date to have videos uploaded which must demonstrate chin above the bar and full elbow lock out.
I have been training half my life for this moment!!

Unless nobody agrees to partake, then I've just been training half my life for no moments.

Let me know if interested!! ♡

hard pass.

Pull ups were easier when I weighed 170lbs. ~205 is much worse, and that's manlet weights in these parts.

Some folks here be weighing as much as small cows, and pull ups get hella hard when you weigh a lot.
C'mon bro! It's the spirit of the pursuit, not the all out slaughtering of your fellow man!

Also, if like 3 people enter you could win, lol.

That's some serious Andrew compliments headed your way!

I used to rock climb years ago. I had a pull up bar leading into my bedroom. Everytime I went in or out I had to do 10 pull-ups. I was in a one-bedroom apartment, so it was a lot.

Do that for awhile and you’ll see improvement.

**There are probably better methods but this worked on top of all the climbing and bouldering I did.

Come on brother! I hear ya on the BW thing though. A buddy asked how many I could do and I had no idea.

16 quality reps at 220. That was a year ago and I'll never do it again.

I’m kinda surprised. I thought my pull up ability sucked, but I can reliably do 15-20 solid form reps the first set. I know some dudes here push closer to 300 than 200, but still.

Edit: now having loaded video, still may be over confident. Tomorrow is back day. So I’ll see what I could do. Since I can go all out on one set, I still think I can do what I said.

@Jenn_is_Jenning, what is the competiton.
I don't want to be in because I'm not that good at pullups but just curious.
Also, how will you calculate for weight differential?
It doesn't matter if you're good, it's all for fun!
I am not calculating anything for weight. Everyone is just going to try to do their best and get as many as they can without kipping or cutting back ROM.

We'll pick a date where everyone can reasonably upload their videos by and whoever gets the most, wins! :)
I strongly encourage you to participate!
