Not sure where I want to go from here just did a 2 week dirty bulk just to see how it went. Put on 5 lbs, definitely felt pretty strong, and can feel some shirts are a bit tighter. Just not sure if I wanna maintain or keep bulking.

First pic is before second is after

You felt strong because you had a higher caloric intake. The 5lbs you put on is likely just water, or normal weight fluctuations.

You cannot tell how you will do on a bulk by just trying it for only 2 weeks.

I literally see zero difference between pic #1 and #2, besides the lighting.

Keep “dirty bulking” and I can tell you how you’re gonna end up.
Dirty bulk is just a term people use when they eat like shit.
Cals in/cals out is weight gain/loss yes, buts it not that simple from a body composition standpoint.
You can’t just focus on calories and macros.
Food quality and micro nutrients matter.
Macro timing matters.
You gained water and glycogen and probably a little fat in 2 weeks.
People just don’t get fat overnight or in a couple of weeks.
You do need to put on some size so no you don’t need to waste your time being in maintenance.

Damn bro. Probly need to take a deload week after all that.
If your phone didn't store the pics in chonological order, would u have known which one was before?

Just clowning on you, but you're clearly not new to the gym. I'd guess you've put at least a few years into the lifestyle. Why would u think 2 weeks would have a noticable outcome on a physique youve been sculpting for years?

2 weeks is much too short a time to notice really much more than water change.

You may be able to get away with dirty bulking depending on your base TDEE and diet and training.

I, for instance, am eating anything and everything for calories and I’m not too concerned about being fat. I have accepted there will be a period without definition. So only go for it if you can accept that outcome.

There will be a period without definition is only true if you want to bulk in that way... You can keep a solid physique even while bulking, you just need to be a lot strictier and plan accordingly and well.

Yeah putting on weight is not hard, it's putting on muscle in a good ratio that is complicated ;)

And remember this, If you bulk and get overboard with your BF then it's gonan take one hell of a cut to get back in decent shape

After few years I have come to the conclusion that is a lot better to bulk to a reasonable level that let you get back to a reasonable nice BF in not more of 2 months of a cutting diet. More then that and it's a pain in the fucking ass. Sure you will love the bulk if you just eat whatever you feel like but that's not worth it.

In my opinion ppl overeat most of the time, and overbulk, we and I say we because I have done it... We use the bulk to just let it go and binge 😂

Should I continue is what in getting at. I've seen a fairly decent increase in strength and don't mind adding a little extra fat. It's pretty tough for me to put did it before (down 25 lbs) eating fairly clear but back then I had the time now it's a little different story.

We’re going to need more details to answer that.

Height, weight, current TDEE, current macros, how large of a surplus are you running etc.?

Two weeks isn’t enough to be able to tell anything. I can gain 5 lbs in a day if I put my mind to it.

6', 185lbs 3000 cals maintenance.
Haven't been consistently tracking calories probably around 4k tho. Just been making sure to eat a lot whenever I can planned on doing it for a couple weeks and seeing how things thought I'd feel l like crap but didn't and, I was happy with my lifts.

So you basically ate like an asshole for 2 weeks, now you're asking what to do next? 🤔

I vote to stop eating like an asshole.

Start another “should I cut now” thread when you hit 225 pounds. For now, eat.
You really think I could make it to 225?
As far as health wise what your guy's opinion on it dirty bulking?

Health wise it’s bad. For growing it’s bad and stupid
I also think chasing a number on the scale is stupid

Not chasing number really I'm more about size. I was around 210 and a bit softer before but was okay with it, took me years to get there and im trying to get back to that size.
