Well, not all of the votes are counted yet, so this is premature.

But, it's fairly common knowledge that Harris wasn't exactly popular within her own party, let alone the general population. She was considered a liability to Biden a couple of months ago, there was talk of dropping her as the VP from his ticket. It's probable that a lot of Dems just said 'fuck it', and didn't bother voting.
