A little help with labs and biomarkers to pay attention to?

Eyo boys,

46 year old male, 5'9" current weight 201.

So I got some baseline labs done. I'm not really too keen on how to read these or what to look for. All my shit is in normal ranges so I guess that's good. The only thing that was a little concerning was that I'm on the border of being pre-diabetic. Not sure what to do about it besides continuing to lose weight.

Wondering if you fine gents can help me decipher anything in the report I might be missing or just general feedback is cool too. I got the labs done before I started a GH regimen @ 2IUs ...don't have any plans to go beyond that for now. When I go to get follow-up work done, what are the important biomarkers I should be paying attention to?

Also, my test is 527 and free is 82. Prob not gonna get me legit TRT, right?

thanks

Lab Corp seems to have more leeway in egfr and creatinine most places are less than 90 and 1 but your still good. Prediabetic?
Lower chance of TRT with those test numbers but never hurts to ask.

Ya, my A1C is 5.6 and I guess pre-diabetic is measured as >5.7 so it appears I am on the edge.
Getting your body fat down is the key to lowering that, as you said. Also avoid simple carbs if you can, definitely avoid processed sugar.

Lots of cardio will help too. I was pre-diabetic on the high end a few years ago, right on the edge of being diabetic, and I've completely reversed it by losing fat, eating right, and hiking/walking regularly. I hate running, so I opt for a 5 mile hike most days. Takes longer than running, but is far more enjoyable to me. I just listen to an audiobook or podcast and walk/hike for a bit over an hour.

Alcohol should be avoided as much as possible, entirely if you can. Coke zero was my saving grace to ween myself off sugary drinks and beer.

Other than the occasional edible, I never touch it.

Been hard at work on that.

Haven't had a drop in 5 years.
Sounds like you're doing it all right then! Should probably also note that GH increases insulin resistance, so dont be surprised if that brings your A1C up a bit more than when you're not on cycle.

Ya, I'm also taking MOTS-C 5mg every 2 days to combat that. Might up the dosage if I see it high on next test. I'm also on retatrutide which I think is supposed to help?

Why would you even want TRT with normal test levels? TRT is testosterone replacement therapy, not testosterone enhancement therapy.

Pardon my ignorance as I am still learning but isn't it recommended to use a certain amount of test prior to and during AAS usage? That is my eventual intention. I have seen many posts around here recommending that approach so I guess now I'm confused.

Using test during a blast and being on TRT are two different beasts.

TRT is testosterone prescribed to replace your natural testosterone that has declined due to age/drug abuse/hypogonadism etc. You don’t need that if your levels are already normal.

You should definitely supplement with test when running a cycle.

Gotcha. So what about assessing tolerance? I believe I saw a post from CJ saying to use test for 6 months before jumping on a first cycle (sorry if I'm misquoting). Is that accurate?

I'm of the opinion that first cycles should be testosterone only, to assess how one reacts to it, if any issues arise.

If one were to run a first cycle with 2 or more compounds, and problems arise, how would he know which drug is causing the issue.

I definitely don't think that one should take a TRT dose for months to assess, that's wasted time, shutting down your endogenous production for absolutely nothing.
