Alcohol consumption?

If my last thread got folks riled up, I'm sure this will get the job done as well. Lol

I'm currently in a caloric deficit and I track my macros. At the moment I'm targeting 2,200 cals. My goal is 37% protein, 37% carbs, 26% fat.

I have 230cals to go for the day and currently at 40%/33%/27% 206/173/61

I get the fact that calories from alcohol are gonna rob cals from pro/carb/fat. But since I'm over 200 protein and over my 60gm fat, I'm only robbing my carbs.

If I decide to to drink those last 200 cals am I really hurting myself by not hitting my carb goal? Yes alcohol is poison, but I really enjoy it. It's actually my biggest hobby next to fitness. I love to rate and review them and I trade beer from my city for other beer across the US.

It's basically two bud lights, but I don't drink beer like that regularly. It would be more like a 6oz pour of a stout or 8oz of a 8% IPA. Definitely higher sugar content. I use an alcohol % to cal conversion calculator to get an idea on cal content and usually err on the side of caution to be sure.

Is drinking ideal?

Certainly not.

Is a few beers every week likely to make a substantial difference?

Probably not.

If and when I drink, I definitely don't want to eat clean food. Alcohol makes me crave hot wings, fried pickles and a burger with fries.

Preferably served by a server in a skimpy outfit.

Maybe I just miss Hooters.

It seems that the entire "breastaurant" industry is based out of Texas. So lucky bastards like @PZT can have all the damn fun.

Alcohol slows protein synthesis by about 25%, so yes, you’re hurting yourself.

The effect is short-lived, so it’s not the end of the world, but it’s not an ideal situation.

200 calories worth of alcohol is basically two shots of vodka.
