Personal growth time.

I stepped away from all social media some 2-3 years ago because it was taking up too much of my time. More importantly, I was using it for social validation - which is even worse than the time-suck.

Then I started using BB forums because even though it’s technically still social media, it’s not predatory and doesn’t do much for social validation… until it does (for me). That’s what this has been for me for too long.

To be the person I need to be, I might need to step away from the ‘creator’ role and just be a consumer (think YouTube if you dont make any videos). I’ve grown a lot from who I was into who I’ve become, but I’m far from done… this new person I want to become is possibly the biggest change I’ve made to date.

Who I am and the relationship framework I have with the people around me isn’t making me happy. It’s actually pissing me off because it’s not who I need to be for the people I hold dearest in life. I need to reframe some relationships, and to do that - I need to level up.

So this is an andrewgenreceptor. Not how I pictured it. But as I expected all kinds of literature graphs and documents to justify why you are so fucking lean.
Well I say it was good old fashioned hard work and superior knowledge that got you there. But reading didnt get in the way too much.
Somehow missed the fresh updated pic ready for summer.
Just asking is that natural tan or injected. It looks very even.
Those quads are insane. Hab big ( not insame) quads 10 years back. Had to wear bike pants year round to ease the chafe/ rubbing. Now keep them at just rub where powder is enough lube.
Anyhow dont know why it took me so long to check it out.
Every I is dotted and t crossed as I expected.
Wish I were more like you with what you know. But remembering my name is my limit.

I'm up at 3am, work inside a windowless building until the sun goes down, then drive home. So I abuse the benefits of a fake sun for tanning purposes.
Girly? Sure. Better looking? Yes.
Also, every girl that works at the tanning salon knows my name, what bed i want to use and for how long. I get the impression I'm not their typical customer 😅

You have to admit you are all round one of a kind. In an exceptionally good way. You have so much knowledge yet give it away for free. You seriously could make a living on utube but are happy to hang round here helping people that don't appreciate the advice or do anything with it.
You are a one of a kind. In the best way. Glad to have gotten the chance to have met you.
Yet we are opposites. I believe in a minimal is best approach to things. Knowing too much clouds your decisions. I only use free weights and cables never machines. I eat same meals at the same time 5 days a week all year. Makes shopping easy. I can meal prep 5 days food in an hour.
I've read Arnold's encyclopedia from end to end too many times. Follow that like a bible. It has every answer I need.

Still waiting on the plate tree/dumbbell stand to show up, but I got the Glute Ham Raise/Reverse Hyper set up.

Need bigger dumbbells, probably going to get the Ironmaster system, but that $1300 investment is going to be on the backburner for a bit.

Anyways, here’s the new setup.

Had a Software Quality Engineer interview yesterday, felt like we clicked but we’ll see. I’ll have my Baccalaureates by September regardless.

Struggling to find fat deposits large enough for 1/2" pins… a good problem to have. Class tonight.
Everything in life feels like it’s just clicking. Marriage, family, gym, school, work… all of it.

5/5/23 - Jordan Peters PPLA Arms 1​

New gym today. Dumbbells top out at 120 so i give it 2 months. Big dudes at the gym were giving me the ‘sup nod’ and the small dudes were lookin salty.

  • Biceps were dying today but shoulders and triceps were getting it in. Attributing this to poor recovery… sleep and stress have been much worse than usual this week.
I need to yell at a gymnastics coach this afternoon but have an hour to kill between work and yelling, so I’ll probably try making up some of my lagging LISS Cardio.

Knees were still iffy so i skipped legs. Should be fine to hit them later this week.

  • Shoulders are quite unhappy but this was a great session.
Lots of stress this week. Unlikely to hit cardio goal but scale is moving.

Apparently I lost weight when doing less and eating more. Weight loss be weird.

Notes
Super stressful week, likely to be followed by another one. Need to pick it up on the cardio, but hard to do so when averaging ~4hrs sleep and needing to wake up an hour earlier for cardio. No excuses, I need to do better.
