my doctor recently suggested I try methylene blue, which is a blue dye that also has biologically active properties. It increases serotonin amongst other things, as well as being an antioxidant with antibacterial and antiviral properties amongst a whole bunch of other things.
The only problem with it is that it kills Nitric Oxide, which is critical for getting a pump when lifting and vasodilation and blood flow.
I tried it today for the first time, only 2 drops in water, some people take 20-40 drops. It felt like it let me out of mental prison... I stopped dissociating, I felt like i could actually think and have a conversation of my own thoughts and felt like myself again, for the first time in a long time.
I went to the gym tonight and I tried to offset the anti NO effect by taking 6 grams of L-arginine, also for the first time. I had really good focus in the gym, better than normal however I did feel slightly weaker, but it could have just been an effect of the focus allowing me to get fatigued much faster than I'm used to by better contractions and more intensity early in my workout, or, it could also because of my poor nutrition in the last day or 2.
I still got a pretty good pump, I wouldnt say it was the best ever, it did seem maybe a little different from normal but it could be all in my head. I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with anything like this. Lifting is so important to me and the high I get from the pump and the gym is part of what keeps me alive, part of what i live for. I was thinking maybe I could just take methylene blue on days or times when I'm not going to the gym.
