Hair serum as in say there's an argan oil at the store but you want to make your own does anybody have experience doing that?

Looking up the ingredients they all seem to be readily available. It's the ratio I have no idea. At least 2 of the ingredients with my argan oil two of them are synthetic silicones that allow the oil to be spread out in the hair. I have looked at some sites that focus on homemade cosmetics but they all tend to be natural cosmetics so they would not add in the silicon. Granted I have not tried a natural product but I am quite happy with the product I buy at the store. I could try one of the natural recipes just as a comparison, perhaps I would be pleasantly surprised.

I've found us home brewers tend to experiment or want to experiment with other household products. But if I posted in the Homebrew probably would have been laughed out of the form lol

It appears all these DIY argan oils at least the recipes through Google searches and not looking up specific group or community sites that specialize in do-it-yourself cosmetics just consist of argan oil and a mix of certain essential oils.
Before I do more specialized search are you @Diesel59 looking for argan oil specifically I'd hate to post it and I'd be the only one that has a need or want.

@Thrawn Not necessarily.

I suffer from dry scalp every year outside of the summer and early fall. The best oil I've used so far is tea tree oil.

That would actually be a justifiable essential oil to put in any hair product. I like the tingly feels it gives.

So tried the argon oil with essential oils not as silky with silicone but 10usd for 3oz or 30 for 32 oz. I pored the last 8th in the 120ml dropper mixed with homemade stuff, works alot better.
I pretty sure I read sweet almony oil is great for dry scalp. Ill see if I can find the link again

My wife does. She has an internet business. For men is different to women.

There is a liquid think it has 4 ingredients. There are capsules too. Men mostly use caps. Women mostly use liquid.

Sides for men is ear nose and back hair if you overdose.
Doesn't seem to be any sides for women using the liquid at all. But same sides as men if they use the caps. All sides stop within 4 weeks of stopping usage.
I would have to get dosages and products off her if you are interested.

Makes serious coin. 80 bucks profit off 100 caps and 60 bucks of two cups of the liquid. And customers are all repeat.

Sure if she's willing to share. Is this for hair growth or maintenance. Thanks

Growth is the same as maintenance. Dosage is the differance. I will get the info for you. Send me an empty pm so I can reply to you only. Don't want trouble from mods. I can't pm people unless they pm me first. May take a while. She is at work. Give me a few hours.

Totally! Making your own hair serum can be fun and cost-effective. I've mixed argan oil with a few drops of lavender and rosemary essential oils. Works wonders for shine and smells great. Give it a shot!
