If calories were not imporant nor junk food being horrible for us I admit I would eat them non-stop.

I literally love cake, donuts, pies, cookies, pasteries, candy, icecream, shakes/maltes and pretty much antything with massive amounts of refined sugar ... did I mention Blizzards ... for fucks sake I would eat one everyday if they were not 1,000 calories each ...

Ok, sorry for my dessert rant .. but there is a point to it ...

I have found that I can replace these tasty treats with fruit ... so as a positive I now have an equal love for watermelon, grapes, apples, oranges, peaches (duing spring and sumer) berries of all kinds ... and my lastest favorite fruit is grapefruit ...

Is there anyone else out there who eats the grapefruit like oranges .. just peals them (like an orange) and then just eats them 1 slice at a time same as an orange ...

Do you have a sweet tooth and have you found that you can substitute fruit for tasty sugarie treats ... ?

I'm lucky in regards to craving sweets, because I get sick after eating a lot of sugar and I forget about them for some time. However I know quite a bit of people who struggle with this problem, especially chocolate and calorie dense sweet coffee. One girl quit eating sweets for a month and she looks sexy now, used to be a bit too chubby for my taste.

However I know quite a bit of people who struggle with this problem, especially chocolate and calorie dense sweet coffee. One girl quit eating sweets for a month and she looks sexy now, used to be a bit too chubby for my taste.
Yes that is a great reminder of the high density calorie content of soda, sweet coffee's, and so many other beverages (including alcohol) all with very high processed sugar content ...

I can easily live without chocolate, cakes, pies, ice cream, etc…. Gummy’s are my craving. Can eat gummy bears by the handful. Fruit doesn’t really fit in my macros/diet so I don’t take part. I just rely on mental toughness. Haven’t had a gummy in over 7 months!

Sure, I want some of those tasty mfers. Just yesterday my 9 year old left a fat sack of gummy worms on the counter that caught my eye. Did I wanna go ape shit on em? You bet! However, I want to look good more than I want to stuff my face.

No doubt mential toughness is critical ... discipline is pretty much the foundation of everything good ... I find fruit to be a critical part of my more healthy diet and am thankful that my sweet tooth is satified especially with fruits like peaches and watermelon ... sumer time is by far the best time of year for fruit IMO ...

Back in the day all I used to drink was full sugar soda. At the same time there were always a lot of baked goods in the house. Once I started my fitness journey cutting those items out was the easy first choice.

Ever since I got over the addiction I don't really crave sweets. These days I'll turn them down especially if there is some sort of savory alternative. Every now and again I'll have something small but it's not something I actively pursue the way I used to. Calorie for calorie, I'd rather have a slice of pizza than a slice of cake.

Yea I love cookies and cakes. Haven't eaten much of that recently but I was going crazy with cereal.
Lately my sweet fix has been one quaker instant chocolate oatmeal, one kodiak chocolate oatmeal, milk, sprinkled with 15 grams of mini chocolate morsels. I'll have this preworkout and if I have room I'll have one for dessert. Weight loss has been steady. The regular cereal is just way too easy for me to over indulge.

I love chocolate, but restrict myself to two squares of 90% dark per day. I've been able to maintain 198lbs. body weight on an additional 400 calories per day by taking sugar out of my diet, for the most part.
I like fruit, however it doesn't stop me from wanting chocolate.

Interesting how you've found small allowance as your key ... my hat is off to you ... I go to DQ thinking about ordering a mini (super small size) and somehow come out of the drive thru with a large Ressie Blizzard some how ... those bastards ...

Luckily I've never liked chocholate all the much (I can take it of leave it) ... but a glazed donut from Krispy ... I think 1 is fine and somehow 6 have magically disappeared (into my mouth) ... same with cookies cake chips ... I find it better to avoid or replace altogher with fruit ... but I admire you guys (and gals) who can eat your treates in moderated or even tiny amounts ...

Hey @transcend2007 love your show. Long time first time here. I just wanted to call in and agree with some of your other callers. I definitely have a sweet tooth but I found that with the appropriate discipline I can bury that sweet tooth when I need to. I try to eat by self-partitioning my carbs and fats, never eating those two at the same time. So that makes the majority of baked goods off limits to me. Fruit is always good though and I find that a couple clementines really hit the spot. Great show, can’t wait to listen in tomorrow. I’ll take your response off air.

Don't regularly consume sugar. Went 4 years no prob. I ate ice cream at an event, the last 3.5 wks I now under stand crack addicts. I have eaten every sweet in the house. I even ate all my daughters cake snacks for her school lunch. I went to the store to replace everyones junk that I ate, and I did it again.

I am similar to you in regards to not craving sweets. I end up regretting it almost instantly after eating something sweet. It just isn't appealing to me nowadays.

Life is short. Eat a cookie, enjoy life. Just do shit in moderation. Seems simple, but that’s me.

Holy shit I’d eat a box of Oreos a day with sour Candy if they didn’t matter. Instead now I’ll just have my sudo cake I make out of kodiak pancake mixture with some Fairlife chocolate milk. Shits good
