Just wondering what y’all use or prefer. I’m open to branch out and try some new flavors/brands. I’ve used Dymatize if I have to make a shake. I like the Fruity Pebbles Birthday Cake but I’m tired of it. I don’t drink protein shakes much since I usually eat enough protein during the day to not supplement with a shake. If I do have to have a shake I want something that has a good taste and I’m tired of the Fruity Pebble one. I have tried a couple Ghost ones but I just don’t want to throw away money on something I don’t like.

Bonus if you got a weird but good recipe with protein powder that are macro friendly.

I'm cheap when it comes to protein powder, since I already get plenty of protein from my meals.

I use NOW protein isolate, either unflavored or creamy vanilla. Both are neutral in flavor. Then I add my own flavoring to the shake; whether that be in the form or blueberries, or a Kool aid packet. Creamy vanilla with cinnamon added tastes a little like cinnamon toast crunch. It mixes well and has a nice texture, like a milkshake.

I buy it in the 10lb bags; comes out to be like $120 regularly and sometimes as low as $90 if it's on sale somewhere online.

There are higher quality proteins out there, but as I said I get plenty of protein from my meals. So this is just to add a little extra, or to have as a snack from time to time.

AllMax Gold All Whey is the best I've had as far as taste goes. I had the vanilla flavor.

For nutritional stats, the best are Iso Sensation 93 from Ultimate Nutrition and Isopure drinks I buy at the gym.

Muscle Milk doesn't taste like it used to.

My favorite was the vanilla GAINER. The first and best powder I ever tried.

They changed their formula a few years after they originated, prob bc it contained actual cookie crumbles in it. Lol. I don't even think they market it as formulated to resemble human breast milk anymore. Prob a good thing.

Muscle Feast, both whey isolate and premium blend. I always go with vanilla, because it's easier to flavor. I can always make it chocolate with some cocoa powder.

Most protein powders make me throw up, but I've been using 4 scoops a day of iso100 fruity pebbles for the last month or so. I'll put 2 scoops in a bowl of fruity pebbles and add water instead of milk. adds 50g protein to the cereal and 250 calories. but if you were using milk instead beforehand u only added like 100 extra calories for 42 more grams of protein.
I don't really trust whey though. I just do it to pretend the cereal has some sort of nutrition

I do something similar. I do like a yogurt bowl in the morning for breakfast. So a scoop of whey, 140g frozen fruit (thawed out in the nuker first), then 170g of non fat Greek yogurt. Macros are pretty nice for that. Also on a cut so gotta stay with something satisfying and filling but low cal.

protein powder works a lot better in foods than in shakes. They need to start making it in flavors like ketchup and garlic. stuff u put on a lot of different foods

I’m not married to any particular brand. But for taste I like 1 scoop chocolate, 1 scoop strawberry and add in 1/2 a banana. Comes out tasting like a Wendy’s frosty.
