Hooters is being sued for not hiring transgender waitress

An upstate NY Hooters location has generated a lawsuit. The individual - who identifies as a woman - wanted to be a Hooters girl but was repeatedly denied employment:

An upstate New York transgender woman is suing Hooters for repeatedly refusing to hire her — while the restaurant claims she was booted for inappropriate behavior starting before she transitioned.

Brandy Livingston told NEWS 10 that she applied three times to work as a tight-topped staffer at the chain’s diner in Colonie — despite alleging that she was harassed by staff there as a regular customer.

“They would use male pronouns — they would refer to me as ‘he,'” alleged Livingston, who only recently transitioned to female.

What do you guys think about this?

Should Hooters have to give this person a chance, who does not look or sound like a female at all?

The last time I checked, Hooters does not have to hire obese women, toothless women or 75 year olds. Why should they have to hire this person?

I have some great memories at Hooters; watching sports and drinking with friends. The one in DC had some hot servers.

But you're right about the food. Outside of the wings their food was very disappointing.

We used to have one here in the suburbs and that was definitely true there. Most of them weren't attractive at all, and had poor attitudes.
