I always hated humping DB up and figured sooner or later I'd tear my shoulder off putting them down. Just gave them a try yesterday an I like them. You do have to get used to taking the entire DB out with the hooks, kinda weird looking but it works.

I don't want to chance humping up the DB's. Anything over 60's seems shoulder dangerous.

Yeah, I feel it in my elbows, the humping them up. Not worth it, so I switched to machines.

Well I'm the owner of my gyms and don't make that SendO kind of money. lol

I'll see how it goes but they were a TEMU snag for $15.
Oh, I was replying to Bundy because he said he wished his gym had the spotters you showed. So I showed him the style of spotters available at my golds, thinking they might have something similar at his gym.

For home gym, these hook spotters are perfect IMO. So much easier and safer to start from the top position, instead of kicking back with the weights.

I've never seen these before. Not a bad idea, I guess.
They're pretty cool. The arms move forward as you grab and pull the dumbbells, putting you in the ideal safe position to start benching.

I'm not strong enough to need them yet. But I've seen other people at my gym use it.

I ended up buying the dumbbell hooks like Snake posted. It did take a little while getting used to wrapping your hands around the d'bell bar and the material of the d'bell hook.

I had considered buying the ones in the link below, but with my luck, they wouldn't fit my Smith machine uprights or there would be some modification needed. Plus the hooks were cheaper.

I have used the dumbbell spotter hooks and they work great. I also have those Titan dumbbell holders they work well but a little difficult to get the dumbbells back on after a heavy set. I'd stick with the dumbbell spotter hooks just my opinion.

Your a better man than me. I won't change. It old school or nothing. Guess once a flicker. Always a flicker.

Got to admit I use lighter db every year but.

Good work.
