Has anyone tried? I'm skeptical, but It seems to be very popular now for depression/anxiety/PTSD. I think the general idea is that it temporarily dissociates you from your thoughts which makes it easier to change negative habits and ways of thinking.

I was on antidepressant/anxiety medication on and off for 20+ years and it's never had an effect, so I've basically given up on psychiatry being useful for much.

A family friend has switched over to it, and it seems to be a positive change for her.

My ex-wife went through it after I left her to treat her severe depression from her bipolar disorder. Supposedly it helped, but I wasn't getting back with her to find out...

She reached the point in a mania phase where she knew better than everyone else. She fired her therapist and psychiatrist. When I found out that she wasn't going to the so called therapist sessions that she alleged to go to, along with other problems, that was it for me. Till this very day, I do not know where she was when she was so said meeting with her therapist.

About the only thing that worked for me is pussy and money. If I'm feeling down that's generally the reason.

Can't say I had a positive experience. Not sure how much this applies, due to circumstances

In 2019 I had a stroke. About a week out of hospital I thought I was experiencing stroke symptoms again. I was driving at the time, so I struggled to get to nearest hospital and checked myself in.

Doctor wanted to do MRI and I have huge anxiety about MRI's. Told him I needed some sort of sedation. Anaesthesiologist was not available, so he explained we could try ketamine to relax me.

I don't know what dose they gave me, but "dissociates you" is the proper term. I felt like my consciousness was separated from my body, completely freaked me out. Bad trip.

Not something I want to try again.

He was injecting huge amounts of the stuff.. you can’t really overdose on it. What I think happened is he got so high he just went under the water and drowned

I know 2 friends that were put on it to treat depression and PTSD. It's made a big difference in their lives. I don't know the details, as I'm just an outside observer commenting on the change I've seen since they started K therapy

My brother started it a year ago, we have found him multiple times unable to move in his bed. Self dosing has turned into something else, pretty rough to watch.
