I didn't know that, thanks for the info.Be aware that cassia cinnamon is often just labeled as "cinnamon" but its species names include Cinnamomum cassia or aromaticum[Chinese], Cinnamomum burmannii [Indonesian], and Cinnamomum loureirii [Saigon or Vietnamese — also spelled loureiroi].
While a very small amount of cinnamon from time-to- time is safe, a teaspoon a day of cassia cinnamon (the most common form) can be dangerous to the liver. This is because cassia cinnamon naturally contains a significant amount of coumarin, a liver toxin and potential carcinogen.
This isn’t my material I copy and pasted it from an article.
Not sure if youve done it yet but get a bottle of TUDCA and take 500 MGS twice a day. It's one of the only supplements proven to protect the liver. That and milk thistle, which I do use also.
NAC I dont use. NAC is an antidote for a Tylenol overdose which destroys your liver and will kill you, slowly and painfully. Unless NAC is taken to counteract it's effects.
I know someone this happened to. She was drinking vodka, taking Vicodin ES( which is 750 MGS of Tylenol with 7.5 MGS hydrocodone.) She ended up at home continuously throwing up, pretty much dying until she finally called an ambulance.
At the hospital she was given NAC and told her liver was either going to fail completely and she would need a liver transplant or it would recover 100%. No in between. She did recover. Tylenol is the most liver toxic substance. More than alcohol and a lot more than oral anabolics.
Ive never seen any proof NAC actually protects your liver in any other way, however. Although it may.
