The more combat experience I gain, the more i look at situations like this and just feel pity.

If you're willing to physically confront somebody over light criticism on social media then you are a desperately fragile individual.
I can't help but think that this has nothing to do with Jeff's video. I mean I just can't imagine someone having such a weak and fragile ego that they would have attacked; Jeff's video was respectful... and I say that as a person who finds him kind of annoying.

You'd think so, but unless Jeff fucked his wife or something there really isn't a reasonable excuse for that level of aggression.

Nippard is annoying, but he's also half that dude's size.

All I know for sure from watching that video is , Mike was grinning like a fool , and Nippard went down like he was trying to draw a foul in an NBA championship ... I think it was all for clicks but who knows.

Could be, but Nippard could get a million views on a video of him mowing grass. Dude has a HUGE fanbase and the ROI on a stunt like this is extremely low

If Jeff Nippard was 6'4" and 270 pounds, it would be different?

Most likely explanation is that Van Wyck is just a huge, fragile, bullying asshole.

So men always have to show restraint when a guy happens to be smaller than them?

Men should show more restraint in general. Using violence in the sole defense ego is immoral and stupid and weak. If Jeff were larger, one could reasonably assume that he posed more of a physical threat.

I agree with you on this.

The only thing I disagree with is the idea that a guy Mike's size has to have some special level of patience with guys who are half their size.

I say this as somebody who has engaged in a LOT of combat:

Violence is defensible (and fun) in sport and/or mutually agreed-upon scenarios.

Violence is morally justifiable in case of legitimate defense of one's own physical wellbeing or the wellbeing of another.

Pretty much everything else is pussy shit. Petty acts of violence perpetrated by fragile and insecure people.

I 100% believe Jeff, but something still seems off.

It probably seems off to me simply because I can't wrap my head at getting worked up over what is effectively a non-issue. Jeff made a polite and informative response video. Why would anyone get mad about that?

I like Mike and his content a lot, but man did he fuck up bad with this.

Something seems off to you because you have a soft spot for lost causes 🤣

It's unfortunate, but people like Mike actually exist out there in the world. I'd wager that MOST unprovoked violence is committed by pathologically insecure people like him.

Yep. I used to get in a ton of fights when I was younger because drunk little dicks thought that they wanted to take on the big guy in the bar to prove that they were tough.

I've seen countless people like this in boxing and MT gyms over the years. There are three outcomes:

1. They get humbled and take the lesson to heart

2. They get the shit kicked out of them and leave butthurt and without having learned a damn thing

3. They get banned for being childish assholes
