A pretty short one today. It took a lot to get out of bed and get going.
Very impressive. Not only that the gains are exactly what you initially wanted. But that you have kept the log up. Noticed in the latest pic your chest tricept and delts/especially front and side have grown well.
Also think the skin still has to shrink to properly show your lean ness. That takes time. Some of the better stretch mark post child birth creams can speed that up.
Also with a summer tan you will look bigger and more lean.
All in all perfect progress. Don't hate it every time you don't workout as you wanted to. Or eat like you should. It may be just what you need.
Good work.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

I didn't even think about skin shrinking but that's a great point. I'll look into those creams. The best part about losing fat so far is my chest looking less like man boobs. It's always the first place fat goes on my body.

And I'll try to have a more positive attitude towards these workouts. It can just be frustrating doing less weight and reps than before.

It is body building. Weight lifting is a different animal. Even a weight lifter has heavy and light weeks.
You got this my friend.
There is never an end. Been at this 35 years. But the station is just ahead where you can rest some and take a look at how far you have travled.
Congrats.

Ok, birthday weekend is over and it's time to keep track of every day again. I did work out on my birthday; mostly bench and I was able to hit my bodyweight for 10 reps and 205 for 5 reps.

What's your current body weight? Are you hovering around 180lbs now?

Yeah. Down from 195 back when I started the log, and being over 200 at various points last year.

I'm wondering how much lower I could/should go.

happy belated birthday

Thank you. It was pretty enjoyable, gave me the pause from everything I wanted.

Thanks!

Cookies for breakfast always leads to a stronger chest day on my birthday.
No doubt. My family has 4 birthdays this month, including mine and my sons. Busy bday month, so I have to forgo some of the birthday cookies and cake haha!

But I do feel the carb up for sure haha!

Nice bench btw!

Enjoy those birthdays! You deserve it.

It's good to let loose sometimes.

And thanks, I surprised myself a bit with that bench. I think later this year I can try putting some real weight on my bench for the first time in ages.

came in to ask how is this possible. to discover it's a typo. great work as usual.
Thank you.

That's what I get for posting my macros close to 2 in the morning. 😂

Are you still losing at a rate you are happy with?
I think I'm starting to stall out a bit.

I'm going to tighten up my diet more next week. Lowering fats to the <50g range while keeping everything else the same.

Lowering fats to the <50g
you're natural. you need a minimum of .3 per pound for proper hormone function. you can go to 54g of fat.

the next thing to do is to pull 50g of carbs, 200 calories per day.

I never thought about that.

I have noticed, I'm much more tired lately. I suppose cutting fats too much would have me even more lethargic.

the next thing to do is to pull 50g of carbs, 200 calories per day.

I'll try that instead of going too low on fat. See how it feels after a few weeks.
