Hey yall been away for a while but I hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted yalls input on different carb sources. For the most part for the past year I've been eating ground beef an rice. 160g beef and 150g rice (Total around 550cal). To put it nicely I'm pretty sick of rice. Just wanted to see if yall have any other good and easy car sources for meals. I'd honestly like the total amount of calories in my meals to be around 750cals. Preferably something pretty easy to cook.

Thank you guys.

An easy swap would be to mix your ground beef mixed in mashed potatoes. Or swap the rice for sweet potatoes. Or swap the rice for pasta.

What other carbs do you like? Eat those, problem solved. Pretty easy

Or grits

Or corn

Or quinoa

Or barley

Or lentils

Or split peas

Or literally any bean

There are a shitload of options. Try a few out and see which ones digest best.

A tower of ground beef and Doritos!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
If it fits your macros, then sure.

Why not chicken breast with an egg wash and rolled in dorito chip dust while we're at it? 😂

Too much work. Just dump a bunch of ground beef into a big ol' bag of Doritos. Add cheese and lettuce.

Portable tacos!!!

What is your opinion on wraps & whole wheat bread? Good, Bad? I find one of my meals daily is with one of these

I eat whole grain bread almost every day. Some grocery store brands tend to have a few grams of added sugar and/or fats, but that doesn't necessarily make them "bad".

Mashed potato pie.

Cook the ground beef and some A1. Put the mashed potatoes in a casserole bowl. Ground beef goes on top and throw on some cheese. Finish it all in the oven at 375 for about 15 minutes

IDK, a lot of folks here seem to be down with the IIFYM approach, and this just didn't work well for me.

I still go by macros, but with food restrictions.
The less processed, the better.

Sure, you can smash a tower of doritos and ground beef IIFYM, but I have a hard time believing this will be just as effective, healthy, and digestion-friendly as a diet based on whole foods.

The Vertical Diet has worked well for me the last few months. I feel healthier doing this than I did on any other diet.

Well, IIFYM was never intended to be like that, it was bastardized. It was always supposed to be the way you ran it, with quality foods.

The Doritos was just a joke.

I agree with you. Shit in, shit out.

To be clear, I was also playing along with the Doritos thing. I always tell people the less processed the better, but also not to be scared of certain foods unless it just gives them digestive issues
