Hello I’m 39 6’0 262. Body fat is higher than I’d like around 23%. Lifted for years but eager to learn and get some advice going forward to help me meet my goals.
I’ve been using a 6day split workout and been changing the routine about every 12 weeks. I’m not sure the frequency or how often I should change it up, but that’s something I need to learn.
Appreciate the add.

Welcome to the UG.

Training 6 days per week is aggressive, be on the lookout for burnout. More isn't ways better.

Your body will tell you when it’s time to switch it up by Platowing (probably spelled wrong), 6 days is a lot especially if you’re natural.

Excellent point. Thank you. I try to use 2 of the days as a light weight and high cardio.
Body does need rest though.

Not natural, but plateauing is a good indicator. Appreciate the feedback.

Welcome to ugbb.

I agree that 6 days a week can definitely lead to burn out.

How drastically do you change your program when you switch things up?

I’ve just been googling various workouts and reviewing them. Probably not the best way to go about it, but any advise is appreciated.

A PPL split is a good time tested split. Add in rest days to fit your schedule.

An Upper/Lower/PPL is a good one as well.

Upper /Lower is a good one.

Are you natural? What’s your caloric intake?

6 days a week is a bit much if your natural and not giving yourself enough calories,

anyway, welcome boss

Welcome!
In the short time I've been here I have quickly realized that if you can't get an answer to your bodybuilding questions here then that answer most likely don't exist.

Welcome to UG. 23% BF is not all that bad and can be worked with.
