The hot potato with the trophy continues. At least we didn't have to wait until 2am this time.

Man… Derek looked awesome but I didn’t see a single pose where he looked better than Hadi.

I couldn't agree more. Can't hate on Derek winning but to me he was third place here.

Derek won , and he deserves it. Hadi had the better conditioning for sure. I won't hate on his winning kid looks fantastic but i'm still a Hadi fan damn it really wanted to see him nail it down.

I had Derek winning from the back. His glutes and hams were more dug out than hadis, back is a little better, tighter waste.

He's got the best back shots in bodybuilding, that was expected.

Hadis conditioning was nuts across his chest and core, like insanely conditioned, inhumanly peeled, but I think Derek had him on the Delts and arms.

I have front double going to Derek

Side chest is a toss up, because Derek's hams were crazy separated, but hadis chest was ripplingly peeled.

Back double goes to Derek, probably the pose Derek won by the most.

Rear lat spread is a toss up, think Derek edges it with the hamstrings.

Front lat spread is Derek all day long, that taper is insane on an open guy

Most muscular goes to hadi, no question. His most muscular and all the skin splitting conditioning is insane.

All in all, I expected this outcome after finals were done, I was NOT convinced at prejudging.

Nevertheless it was without a doubt a BATTLE between these two guys, don't think weve seen it so close since Ronnie/jay

Interesting outcome, considering the notion from years past was if you are going to beat the champ, you need to do it convincingly. I think it could have been either Hadi or Derek and no one would have minded either outcome, bc it was that close.

That's the way it should be.

Now it feels the tables have turned and they want to crown a new Mr. Olympia every year.

I think it's the amount of talent that has come up recently. Bodybuilding hasn't been this stacked with competition since the 90's. There's 3-5 competitors that could take it depending what they bring that weekend. Deff makes it more exciting.

Absolutely. The difference between the top three guys was so minuscule this year that you almost could have put them in any order and it would make sense.

Good point.

A lot of people look back at that '90s era and say Kevin Levrone and Shawn Ray (and even Nasser) deserved a trophy instead of going straight from Dorian to Ronnie.

Hadi was robbed, but Derek looked phenomenal in his own right. There is a great talent pool right now.

Olympia is this weekend. Wo does everyone think is going to take it?

Nick Walker just dropped out due to a hamstring tear. I think it’s going to be Lundsford.
That was a good early call. Walker would have gotten 5th. At best.

After pre-judging, it's looking like Derek, Hadi, Samson, Andrew, to me.

Derek and Hadi just looked more conditioned to me, with Derek looking a little better, in my opinion.

Samson in 3rd, he's just more polished than Andrew, but both have beautiful physiques. 🤩🤩
Sweet. But calling after after pre judging is like saying you convinced a dead chick to let you fuck her.
Half points.

i think nick had a very reasonable chance at 3rd place.
Sampson and andrew have great shape, but neither of them hit the mark on the conditioning.

I think it would have been a hard sell for the judges to put them ahead of nick if he came in how he usually looks

4th almost for sure and 3rd is not out of the realm of possibility, IMO.

I like Nick, and I admire the hell out of his work ethic and overall mass, but I just don’t think that he has the shape to win, unfortunately.

agreed, i dont think his structure will allow him to ever win the title, its not like there is much more room for improvements from him. but his size muscularity and conditioning really is top tier

I think 3rd would have been a possibility even though I think Samson has a way better look. Filling out that 6'1" frame is just much more aesthetic than Nick's "mutant" look, but the judges clearly have their own criteria.
