Quick training update.. I've been super fucking busy with work and family but training is going very well. I'm starting to feel a little beat up. My back is consistently a bit sore and my elbows are starting to hurt some during press training. I've dropped my 4th training day of the week because I just done have the energy to do curls and extra press and rows.
I'm well above the weight I was training with before my last meet, though. Im even very well above the weight I was training at right before this meet prep.
That being said, I don't know if I am training extra hard because Im mentally prepping for a meet, or if this is how I should be training year round and Ive just been not putting in enough a effort.
I really dont know. But Im leaning towards I should be doing this year round and quit being a little bitch.

With 3 more weeks of training before deload I plan to work up to a heavy triple, double then single. I am open to suggestions, though

2 weeks away. I finished a good week of training. I hit a 415 for 3 reps on squat. My squat PR in contest is 418.
I pulled 455 for 3 reps which is also a triple pr. Deadlift PR in contest is 512. And I benched 2x3 @ 265 with a contest PR of 270.
I plan to work up to a double next week for my last training sessions before the meet

I weighed in at 214.9 lbs last night. Lifting starts at 9am this morning and its a 2 hr drive. I hurt my back in a non lifting activity at work on Monday and am very worried about it. The long drive to weigh in and back last night didnt help it. We'll see!

It wasn't the best day but I did set two competition PRs.

My lifts from August 2021 were squat 418, bench 270, deadlift 512 for a 1201 total.

Today I went 3/3 on squat for a 441.

I went 2/3 on bench with a 275 and I missed 282.

I went 2/3 on deadlift with a 502 and missed 520.

Total 1218

I feel good now, my back doesn't even hurt, but it did hurt during deadlifts and deadlift warm up. It was a lot of fun and I am going to start looking for the next one.
