I just don't understand why some people get so bent out of shape when they literally have no say in what happens here but some act like they do.

Igor Gerkin, a former Russian intelligence officer who fought for Russia in Ukraine, looked at convict pardon numbers etc and said the real number may be double that. Looking at all the people I've seen die, I think that's important.
And ya know there's other facets to it too: Russia wants to be a great power again and not see their neighbor who has been part of Russia for hundreds of years de-Russified, Ukraine is fighting for it's existence and wants to be a Westernized European country, Europe wants to halt Russian expansion into Europe, the US wants to degrade a nuclear adversary.
So, I had a Tinder match recently who is an Iranian going to school in Moscow and soon will be coming to my city to work soon, and she said some interesting things. Of course, in Moscow at a University there are a lot of free thinkers who disagree with Putin and this war. But we were talking about history and she said something interesting about history: it's just a bunch of tales about bloodshed. That's what we remember is events that cause death. And this will be written about by historians for over 100 years.
Yet we have people who want to see Ukraine/America fail just so Joe Biden fail, and sacrifice other countries for political points, and not send our aid because it's almost 1% of the federal budget.
