Yeah im the same way im Purple i guess , i got red and blue ideals and thats ok thats how America is supposed to work. You dont have to like all of each others politics , just meet in the middle and take the best from both sides.Id actually be more offended to being called a cocksucker. Probably not actually, I'd probably make a dick joke instead... but you get my point
Any time someone calls me liberal I just laugh because:
1. I have both conservative and liberal beliefs (the overwhelming majority of people do actually, even if they don't admit it).
2. I don't see it as an actual insult.
3. It's funny to see people use this as an insult, because you can tell people are triggered when they do this.![]()
Even within the parties, not all Republicans are conservatives and not all Democrats are liberals... yet everyone gets painted with those brushes across the board.Yeah im the same way im Purple i guess , i got red and blue ideals and thats ok thats how America is supposed to work. Taught it from childhood , things have to be black and white.Even within the parties, not all Republicans are conservatives and not all Democrats are liberals... yet everyone gets painted with those brushes across the board.
Proof that political pundits are good at brainwashing people into thinking everything is black and white, when in reality everything is a sea of grey.
Fucking exactly...Neither party gives a flying fuck about you or I, they only care about staying in power/monetary gain, especially Congress. Those worthless fucks flat out refuse to do their jobs, they don't want any important votes on their record to be used against them, they'd rather just pass blame as to why nothing gets done.
Two sides of the same worthless coin.
Bro at this point I wouldn't rule anything out. Things have never been screwed up as bad as they are now in my life, That is my take anyway. I hope I'm wrong. This makes sense to me.
January of 2025 is only 5 months away. The war has already lasted 2.5 years. Putin can easily wait it out a few more months to see what happens with our election.
So you think Xi will invade Taiwan if Harris wins?
Anyway, I'll exit the conversation on the word liberal. I care less than it seems, and I'm honestly not trying to pick a fight with kraken over a word that I honestly don't put any weight into.
@Kraken sorry if it came across that way. It was never my intention to needle you. I'll leave it be. Have a good day man.
Back to the thread topic, the Russians are now pulling troops out of the Ukraine to defend and attempt to retake Russian territory. Many of these troops come from the part of the Ukraine near the Black Sea and I guess we'll see if the Ukrainians can now retake that area. If they can then the Russian Navy will be easier to strike.
In Russia, The Ukraine now controls a natural gas pipeline substation which controls the flow of gas to much of Europe. I'm not sure what that gets them; they are not gonna turn off the gas to their European allies, and the Russians were not either since they are desperate for the money.
It's still unclear what the Ukrainian's original purpose was in invading Kursk but it seems to be working out well so far.
I don't think they ever were to begin with. The problem is, Russia is no longer interested in negotiations.
I don't think they ever were to begin with.
Just a ruse to buy time , Putin has his grand dream of reuniting the old Soviet Union due to his disgust at it collapsing. What about in the earlier stages of the war, when Ukraine was in a more favorable position and Western support was at its peak?
From what I've heard, Russia wanted to negotiate an end to the conflict but Ukraine was (understandably) not interested.
Opposing beliefs, or stuff like what we went back and forth on, never bother me. I just ramble and don't know when to STFU@Send0 thanks I appreciate that.
Really, my original comment about the definition being out of date was intended as a joke, but wow it sure blew up. I thought I had pissed you off, which was not my intent. I was not looking to pick a fight for sure. So all good, cheers!

My opinion ,,, Putin was told they would steam roll through Ukraine and show the world they were ready for a fight ,, instead what Putin did was expose Russia as what it has always been a paper tiger.
Russians were never great at combat , strategy , planning , or tactics ,, the only thing they have is man power so they probe a line and probe a line looking for a weakness when they find one ,they throw everything at it , the tactic is called , the red rush.
They don't care how many men are lost they will just keep dumping them into the meat grinder until they achieve any small victory then claim it as a major battle won.
A war of attrition will only work in Putin's favor if the Russian people remain confident in his ability to keep them safe and scared of his ability to control them. For better or worse, that ability favors them in the long run, don't you think?
I don't see how Ukraine can outlast Russia in a war of attrition that drags on into 2026, 2027 or later.
Either way Russia is fighting with one hand behind its back. A negotiated settlement is the best Ukraine is going to get.I don't think they ever were to begin with.
The key part of what Trump said about it , so far the media has missed entirely " It has to be a fair transaction. "This is fascinating on multiple levels.
Cliff notes...Trump says it "takes two to tango," tells both Zelensky and the reporter that he wants to see the war end and a deal needs to be negotiated. I can only imagine what was said behind closed doors.
Complete opposite approach from the Biden/Harris camp and their friends in Germany and France.
