Wondering if it’s bad to do shoulder pressing with a pec tear if there is no pain while doing the movement.

My friend tore his and his doctor told him zero shoulder work while the pec was healing. I don’t have any pain when doing shoulder movements (just did some light sets to see today at the end of my leg workout…may change with a heavier load though )

That's a big risk.

Why not just stick to DB raises for awhile, so as not to compromise your chest healing?

You have good shoulders already, they'll be fine.

I guess the new spit is

Back/biceps
Legs/triceps/shoulder raises
Rest
Back/biceps
Legs/triceps
Rest
Repeat

Going to rest it for 4 weeks…if still pain will go get imaging and what not done .still won’t hit chest for 8 weeks regardless even if there is no pain after 4 weeks.

First off... NO!

Regardless of what level the pec tear is at, you're asking for trouble. You didn't have pain the moment before you tore it and you still got fuuked up. Another thing with a torn pec, they can effect the bicep and RC when they go so my suggestion is to take some time off and heal or this could end in surgery and a 3 month rehab.

Lastly.... NO!

You will activate the pecs with presses. Go easy. I would only use machines for shoulder work until the pec injury is fully healed.
