⚠️Warning! Rant on the way.

I have about had my fill of people that disregard someone else efforts. Recently I took a nice buck during archery. I showed a pic to a co-worker who hunts. His response was, "You're lucky. You seem to get one every year". Lucky, really? How about the fact I spend more time in the woods scouting, setting up trail cams and tending a food plot than most hunters spend actually hunting? Oh but I guess it's luck.

Then there's the guy who gets chatty on the beach. You know, the "So what's your bench" guy. The one that says, "I wish I look like that" Wish? How about picking a weight if that's what you want? You think I just rubbed Aladdin's lamp and POOF! Yeah it must be luck. Can't be decades of non-stop hard work.

Oh, we're not done. How about the one that says, "Must be nice" when you say you're going a vacation? A friend of mine went on a 10 day Alaskan cruise. The one guy said, "Must be nice". Like he was begrudging my buddy because it's something he can't do. They don't see how my buddy has his own business, probably works about 10 hr a day 6 days a week and paperwork on Sundays. But the my buddy decides to take some time off and spend his hard earned money and is made to feel guilty for going on a nice vacation? Maybe hard work has provided for some of the nicer things in life.

My third day of jujitsu classes fits in this thread perfectly. Apparently it was beat up the new guy day.

Yeah I got instructed on some new technique, that was all fine and dandy. But then I proceeded to grapple and get pummeled by an experienced white belt, a purple belt, and a black belt instructor.

No moves I learned in prior training worked on these motherfuckers. Who knows they might have been going easy on me but it sure as fuck felt like I got my ass kicked and definitely got submitted like 4 times.

I left with a bruised rib and realization that this process is going to be a slow painful one for me to progress through.

Leg day is doe only.

Sometimes I can slip out back after a workout. Those days are crossbow days and the others are compound. Try a hold 30 min after a hard workout. I shake like a whore in church.

Killer instinct lethal 405 was one of my favorites. 200lb draw. Nice cross bow

I leave hurting every time, but it seems to always be shit I recover from in a few days so far. I think I'm just too old and all the weight training takes a toll on top of it.

My last class went well I rolled with two white belts and pretty much did everything I was trying to do without over exerting.

I got a young buck in with a grunt one time, he wouldn't get from behind me though I never got a shot off.

Really haven't had much luck calling them in either.

If you can find a light weight Gi that will make a huge difference as well. Look for something like a Hayabusa ultra lightweight , or a Gold BJJ Aeroweave.

I have some old Pine Tree and they are not light weight no matter what it said lol after an hour of sweating its like being wrapped in an old canvas painters cloth :ROFLMAO:

I think I prefer the no gi classes to be honest, but the gi stuff seems so ingrained in this sport I guess I have to learn it. I did get a supposedly lightweight gi. It's still hot.

I could add when it comes to fixing things or building shit, "if I was fortunate enough to know that"...

Pisses me off. 30 years in skilled trades studying machinery, electrical, hydraulic systems and stuff, busting my ass to feed a family. I built everything from race cars to high rise buildings and fixed everything from cars, screw conveyors and washing machines to turbine generators

Fortunate enough to know how to fix my own vehicles or build my house? No. It was a lot hard work and studying. Fortunate ain't got a damn thing to do with it

Yeah I will brother. I try to try to write it off to a lack of understanding on their part.
