I had some stitches in my scalp Monday from something minor. I’m cleared to work and off any meds

I am going crazy and wanting to try and workout with at least some light cardio like the stair master for half an hour
I’m wondering how bad of an idea that may be

I def can’t lift because there’s tension on the stitching and I don’t want to risk straining and causing my skin to move and pop the stitching

I get them out Thursday
So not terrible

By the time I’ll be back in the gym doing my normal routine it’ll be like 12-14 days without any gym. So I expect some loss of strength and cardio output but hopping it’s not too bad

I know I don’t loose any after a week off from past experience but idk about two weeks

Enjoy the break, little niggles will heal, fatigue will drop off, and your muscles will be resensitized for growth.

Just so I've got this right. You got stitches in your head Monday and you're posting this 5 days later? Bro you're fine to lift. I just wouldn't lift the day of or the day after stitches unless you want to bleed all over the place. Increased BP will cause that to bleed the first day or two but after that I'd train without hesitation. Now, that's if you got stitches for a superficial laceration. A surgery is a different issue. But if you just doinked your grape and needed some stitches, get back after it.
