Leg Day
Pinched shoulder, 2nd day. Can’t raise left arm. I did do legs yesterday, but not with much intensity.

Leg Extensions; 3x15x90

Hack Squat: 15x135, 15x225, 10x315, 10x365, 6x365, 5x365, 8x315

Leg Curls: 15x90, 15x110, 15x130 (I’ll feel these later), 13x130, 6x130, 8x110

Calve Extension: 20x85, 20x205, 20x245, 14x285 actually difficult here, 14x285, 9x285

Leg Extensions; 10x100, 10x110 tough, 6x110

Single Leg Press: 10x90, 10x110 (lats cramping), 10x110, 10x110

Yeah; it was a lot of volume, but I wanted to see what the top range for working sets would be. Next week I have starting points.

I felt weak and sore today. So hopefully next time I can slam these numbers to jumpstart intense progress.

Frustrated it’s the end of November and this is what I have to show for 2023.

Well, aside from the dysmorphia and inconsistency at the gym. I much less psycho and so I hope to keep this as a log, not a diary.

Also, starting Friday, I’ll be taking some oral minoxidil, so can keep track of that progress long term too.

Shoulder still tender.

Low Dual Cable Row
15x60, 15x70 actually stretching shoulder nice, 15x80, 10x90 tougher, 10x90 trying to keep good form/tight joints, 10x90

Single Arm Pull Downs
15x37.5, 15x57.5, 15x72.5 tougher and using biceps for sure, 12x72.5, 12x72.5

Rope Face Pulls
Wasn’t sure if these would hurt, they feel good actually.
15x30, 15x42.5, 12x50, 15x57.5 good pull, 10x65 needed a real power stance. But can feel shoulder now.

Bicep DB Preacher Curl
10x40, 10x40, 8x40, 6x40

Bench Supported Rows:
4x15x135 each

Bent Over DB Rows:
15x65, 15x85, 2x15x105

I like the dumbbell preacher curl. I can't use a bar due to tendonitis and it allows me to drop the wrist to a slightly modified hammer curl on my left arm. This means I can enjoy the good pain, not the bad pain.

The preacher lets me go a lot heavier and overload the bicep. I do use some English with my shoulders, or lats, but I know it’s much more intense for my bicep.

Small small growth, but more arm growth than u have had in years this summer.

If you're using "english", it's taking tension AWAY from the biceps. Less intense. It's entirely possible to use less biceps but heavier weight, just look around the gym.

The entire point of the preacher is to load the biceps in the lengthened position, where typical curls do not. If you're shifting the load to other muscles, you're defeating the purpose/benefit of the exercise.

Yes. I understand and agree. I did cheat.
Even still, I know it was better on preacher than otherwise. I’m aware and will adjust. I’d catch myself and adjust.

I'll respectfully disagree.

Ego lifting on a preacher has a higher risk of injury than many other exercises.
(not a dismissive tone) I hear you and will be more cautious moving forward.

Push Day

Shoulder still tender, but nearly better

Flat Machine Press (less shoulder movement):
10x135, 10x225, 10x275 tougher, 5x325 much harder/sliding up bench, 3x325 tough, 8x275, 3x275

Tricep Cable Extension both arms;
15x70, 15x90, 12x110, 12x110 tough needed wrist straps to keep grip, 12x110

Tricep Extension Kick Backs
4x40 tough, 9x30, 3x10x30

Close Grip Pull Downs (seemed like a good stretch)
Man, these feel so good rn. I needed this specific stretch today.
12x160 good level of difficulty and control, 11x160, 9x160, 9x160

Bicep Preacher Curls (controlled this time)
12x35, 10x35, 12x35, 10x35

Also Day 1 of 5mg minoxidil.
Not expecting anything until around Day 21, should be shedding until around Day 42, seeing growth then.

Work out cut short, found out I had to leave soon as I pulled into parking lot. NO shoulder pain anymore though.

Bench: 10x135, 5x185, 5x225, 3x245, 10x225

Incline DB Press: 10x55s, 2x10x75s, 9x75s, 9x60s

Close Grip Pull Down: 15x100, 15x130, 15x160, 9x190, 3x190, 3x175, 4x160

Preacher DB Curls
Excruciating 3x12x32.5, 9x33.5

Assisted Pull-ups
10xbw, 10x-20, 10x-30, 8x-40, 8x-50
