The Ester debate... sorta

And in case anyone is wondering, no I have not watched the youtube video. I can after my last final and give my opinion on the subject and material presented.

I have to agree with a poster that so much material being produced these days are for nothing more than clicks to drive traffic and dollars to the creator of the content.

The difference betw Test E and C is in their carbon ester chain. E has a 7 carbon ester chain and C has a 8 carbon ester chain. The longer chain results in a slightly longer half life/ slower release rate.
The argument as I understand it is around the ring at the end of the cypionate ester, and that it somehow steric hinders the interaction with the enzyme. Sure, that might be possible, but where do they claim the 'extra' Test-C goes?

That's how I always understood it. The longer esters just have longer carbon chains, and as a result it simply takes more time for the esterase to cleave those carbons off, one by one, to "release" the base hormone.

If you could rewrite your question to be less vague, I could try to answer it.

There is no steric hindrance b/c the cyclopentane ring (at the end) is removed before the test interacts with the receptors, so it does not introduce steric hindrance or interfere with he receptor binding. So for simplicity, the cyclopentane ring in test plays a role in modifying the release rate of the test buut does not hinder it's interaction with androgen receptors once the ester is cleaved.

That's also how I understand his claim. He's saying that you could inject more and more Test-C, but your serum level will never rise above some level. An example would be inject 800mg/week and get a serum testosterone level of 6000 ng/dl. Inject 1600mg/week and you'll still only get 6000 ng/dl. The rest of the Test-C is somehow ineffective.
I was under the impression he's claiming that it's metabolized too fast for it to peak well if you're not injecting frequently. I inject EOD so assumed this was not relevant to me.
