I've been "in the gym" since 2013. Girlfriend started going so I did as well. I was also going back to school for an associates at this time so I remember doing a self urinalysis for a bio class and seeing my pee light up when exposed to the glucose reagent. Thought I made myself diabetic so I ran to the doctor. Turns out it was just the entire box of oreos I at the night before causing the surge of glucose in my urine. Still was worried about being prediabetic so I started looking to learn how to eat. I was full blown caught up in that bulletproof guys nonsense after seeing him on Rogan so I started follow that kind of diet. Low card, moderate protein, high fat.
It wasn't the best, but that combined with 45-50 of stationary bike before every gym session meant I saw a pretty significant body recomposition. No real gains, just went from 155 untrained dyel to 155 less doughy but still dyel.
Stayed consistent in the gym for a couple years and started to add muscle. Got up to 165 by 2015.
I start getting real into opioids at this point. 2015-2018 was rough. Stayed in the gym but I was always getting high. I was constantly on xanax and abusing oxycodone when I could get it, dope when I couldn't. Needless the say the gains weren't really coming. 2018 I get arrested and for the next 2 years I'm in and out of court waiting to find out if I'm going to do actual time. I balloon up to my absolute fattest ~205lb during this period, but right before sentencing I come back down to about 185lb. Final court date comes beginning of 2020 and I only get a few months. It was drug shit too so eventually they put me in the good boy part of jail. Covid starts shutting shit down so by the time I'm out the entire world in on hold.
Work some dead end jobs during covid, was able to cardio myself into decent shape. Once the gyms started allowing masked workouts I started a regular routine again and was able to gain back enough of a physique that people at the gym started asking me for advice.
July 2021 I took ostarine for 12 weeks. Felt awesome, physique looked enhanced, never got blood work. Wanted to see if I could recover naturally after the ostarine cycle so I didn't take any pct. Balls felt a little weird for a couple weeks then everything went back to normal.....
Beginning of 2022 I finally land a decent job, still training consistently but not focused. Didn't have a goal in the gym. the workouts become less and less intense. More and more fluff work, no cardio, legs once every 10 days. Despite this physique hold together till around the holidays 2022. Work is going great, start earning a very good reputation. Maybe around Thanksgiving time I'm getting fat. Like a new kind of fat. Deep visceral fat ballooned my belly up. I've always had gyno but now it was bigger and got wider, started really looking breast like. Still haven't gotten blood work. Granted all this time my libido is off the charts so I assumed my test levels are fine and my shitty physique was mostly to blame on my half assed workout and dog shit diet (it mostly was). I'm also experiencing the most insane fatigue. Literally always tired and ready to nap. Again, I wasn't taking care of myself so I figured this was just the chicken coming home to roost.
Finally get blood work, of course I'm totally shut down. Trt nation started me on 200mg/week. We've just arrived at the end of the first week. Haven't had to drink coffee in the last three days. Been using aspirin to get past the withdrawal headaches but not really feeling any lethargy. I wake up earlier and feel awake. I dont have to crawl to the coffee machine and slug back cups until I'm awake. Trained shoulders yesterday and they are starting to look a litte different.
This is the only place I can keep a log and feel accountable. Nobody else in my life really gives a shit about lifting. I'm not looking to lift the most, but I want to have a nice physique and be able to run around with my girlfriends nieces and nephews without getting completely drained/injured.
I appreciate you guys letting me participate in the board. I use my sense of humor to navigate most male interactions and it often comes off as stupid/retarded. I certainly rubbed a few people the wrong way at first. I've found this forum invaluable as someone very new to peds. I don't have much novel insight to add yet. Hopefully in the coming years I will. Until then I'll be keeping this training log. Open to critiques and suggestions.


Feb 1, 2023 - Got to the gym late and it was somehow still packed with highschoolers. Ended up doing a truncated hamstring workout and 20 minutes of cardio 130bpm-150bpm.

Feb 2, 2023 - Shoulders and Arms: Talked to my trt doctor when I got to the gym. They settled my nerves about the recent high blood pressure issues and that really set the tone for a great workout. Felt fantastic the whole way through. Noticed a slight twinge in my right shoulder into the second movement but did not persist past the rear delt flys, and I dropped the weight a little for the rears just to be safe. Doesn't feel like something that will be an issue after a couple days off from pressing movement. Finished with 30 minutes of cardio 130bpm-145bpm.

To be clear I'm not completely sober. I'm certainly what you would call a stoner and occasionally drink. I'll probably take psychedelics again in the future.

I'd have a hard time answering that. I guess I've just a had a few subjectively meaningful experiences on them. That class of drugs kind of imbues everything with profundity. They're fairly euphoric and have a unique visual and auditory effect. It makes classical music sound completely different. Turns every song into a feature film.
You got any replacements in mind?

The only suggestion I know of is to just keep getting into the gym world further and further.

I have a few friends who use psychedelics. I just tell them to be careful.

Feb 3, 2023 - Another late session after work. My normal gym is closed so I got to the 24 hour planet fitness. Really enjoying straight leg deadlift but since I only had a smith machine I decided to try something new with the smith machine close grip RDLs. Big fan. Didn't really move any new weight but added reps on the pulldown, and felt like I could have trained longer if it wasn't so late. Got 30 minutes of stationary bike at the end 135bpm-146bpm.

Nice late night workout there! Was PF nice and quiet?
Surprisingly no...This place is right in the middle of three high schools and best proximity for two of the local colleges. Not as crowded as peak hours but I'm always surprised how full it is even after 9pm.
One of the dudes that works the front desk late night usually plays with action figures. Like full on action figure battles 7 guys to a side. They normally pair him up with this black dude that is either working out or sitting in the lounge couch on his phone, but tonight he was working with a ladyyyyy. Probably 20 something vaguely hispanic/phillipino fat girl with purple hair tips. I've never seen this guy happier. He was chatting her up non stop I felt so happy for the dude. Hard to tell if she was just patronizing him but she was cracking smiles. Having a crush on someone is a very nice feeling. Hopefully home boy starts using the gym he works at.

Appreciate that. I'm eating at 2500-2700 right now looking to see what kind of shape that will bring. Should drop me to a more favorable bf% without me feeling too hungry. Although I have noticed my appetite increasing.
I never considered my story motivating as much as cautionary. You lose years on certain substances. Just doing the same shit every day with no plan or goal. I remember when I stopped using opioids I realized how shitty so much of the tv I watched was.

Better start posting macros as well or I will absolutely fuck off. Ordered a half week of meal prep that's arriving today to hep with compliance. If i'm tired and do not have food ready I will reliably make a bad diet decision.

Dropping to 35mg eod from 50mg eod. Nipples feel sensitive as shit, could be placebo. 200mg/week certainly is too much. No AI yet.

Felt good. Still feeling right shoulder slightly after driving today. Slight soreness around the joint shifting into 5th and 6th gear. Didn't want to push the weight despite feeling pretty froggy. Led with DB press rather than Bench for this reason. No weight PRs but I'm happy with the rep ranges and how good they feel. Challenging but easily controlled. Feels great to train again. Nipples are prickly as fuck.
