starting a recovery week to get into a program that I can build and peak for the meet.

Coach wants to get my bench back to up and peak for 145kg, come meet day. Doing a 5 day split.

Bench Press: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

Squat & Deadlift: Tuesday, Saturday

Diet has been very spotty, and I’m getting very poor sleep. I’ve been pretty much living at the maternity ward (or whatever it’s called for inpatient care for new mothers) in the hospital as my daughter was born via c-section and I’ve been taking care of her and her mother. Her mom can’t walk without assistance or do just about anything else so I am taking care of the baby at night in the hospital and helping her mom with meals, getting to the washroom, etc. She would prefer I help than nurses or family so thats what will happen obviously. hasn’t been many days but I can tell this is going to be a bit of an uphill. Despite this I haven’t missed a day.
i have not had time to pick up my blood Assay results so I cannot comment on if I will run a cycle leading up to the meet.

Monday:
Paused bench press 10x3 105kg
Military press 1x9, 1x8 50kg
Face pulls 5x15 27.5kg
Bicep curls 60kg 5x15
Slow descent Lateral raises 4x15 8kg

Tuesday:
2+ seconds Paused Deadlift slow descent 3x5 170kg
2 second Paused back squat
2x6 135kg
3x15 hammer strength Lat Pulldowns
3x15 Hammer strength chest supported rows

Wednesday:
Paused bench press: 7x5 95kg RPE 6-7
pushdowns 1x20 28kg 2x20 21kg
Reverse pec Deck 5x15 45kg
Cable curls 5x15 40kg

Finally picked up bloods from last week. Nothing abnorma except prolactin is slightly high. Everything else looks exactly the same as the time I was cruising in my first cycle. Just RBC is slightly lower than before. Not even worth posting tbh. Very happy with results.

Edit: just noticed CO2 level in blood is slightly higher than normal, again indicating damage to my liver. So I need to continue to abstain from liver/kidney damaging compounds.

Training:
Been getting to the gym each day it is planned by my coach and discussing the sessions with him each day.
I will update once a week with what I did.

Bloodwork update: my liver is back to normal. Bounced back extremely quickly. I will post pictures now of the tests for those who also run tren and are interested in seeing.

First was 1/11

Second was 2/15
EE883F35-ADF1-4FBA-B231-B21824D5BCA4.jpeg
i will most likely run tren 6 weeks out of the meet. Maybe more. I need to do one more physical exam for work, and my bloodwork needs to look nice, so after I get that done first, but I do want to spike my strength while my coach runs this peaking program with me after I’m finished with my recovery phase.

Got my final physical for work, everything looks good. Got an ECG today as well, heart looks totally normal at this point still. Obviously going to have to continue monitoring as the years go by and as cycles continue. Weighed in at 98kg height 186.5cm at the hospital. After having stomach issues from some bad food (I mean I got food poisoning not just junk food) the past couple days. Feeling good going to get to the gym after breaking this fast. For my 4th session this week. 3rd time benching.

Things have been going very well on the new parent front my daughter has been undergoing jaundice monitoring this week but it’s improving each day.

Do you take anything for the liver? Outstanding bounce back. It's a pl meet coming up like April again right?

Actually I didn’t take anything, I am supposed to take liv52 and milk thistle but I wasn’t doing it over the cruise period to be Frank. Guess I’ve just got a pretty resilient liver.

Yeah meet is in April! Gonna travel with the PL team to a different city, should be fun.

Awesome. Yeah i started using a liver/organ support off Amazon I wanted to try. Interested in seeing if it is giving any benefit.

Any idea on target numbers yet?

Yeah I hope it has a benefit but idk if it really would do much to mitigate the amount of damage the tren looked like it did.

Since I was cruising and recently recovered from an injury that knocked my bench back down to 130kg, my coach wanted to peak for a guaranteed 145kg and play it safe, but if I blast perhaps more will be a safe spot where I won’t fuck my shoulder.

Deadlift I’d like 280kg optimistically 290kg. I was 1inch from locking out 270 on my last attempt in December. Up to two weeks ago I was pulling 250kg twice a week before AMRAPS on a body building split, so when I cycle on I think it should blow up after my programmed recovery week ends.

Squat I’d like 215-230kg in comp but my deadlift and bench are my priorities right now.

Awesome! I’ll take a look. I still have a lot of work to do too haha, I’m also at about a year and a half with lifting regularly, form is super important. I feel like PL training recently taught me that a lot more than bodybuilding!
finding a coach is tough I think especially for BB because a lot of coaches often charge an arm and a leg and to me as a beginner it doesn’t necessarily feel worth that much money hahaha. But I really like having a coach, i think I’ve made much more progress than if I tried everything myself/from forums at the beginning.

Training:

Tuesday: worked on technique, explosiveness, bar speed. Coach commented that bar speed is extremely high on deadlifts. This week I have been trying to pass through the slack pull as quickly and explosively as possible.

Felt very light, like I just warmed up and then stopped training.

Quiet deadlifts (pause near bottom on descent)
1x11, 1x10 150kg RPE5

Back squat 2x5 145kg RPE6

Lat pulldown
3x15 65kg RPE7

Unilateral horizontal hamstring curls
3x10 per leg 25kg

Wednesday:
Paused bench press
10x1 117.5kg/259lbs

Tricep pushdowns
3x15 25kg

Reverse pec Dec
4x18 42.5kg

DB curl 5s negative
5x8 8kg

Friday:
Yesterday night I had food poisoning and was running a fever of 38.8. Recovery workout felt super easy though. Did deadlifts again today to save some time tomorrow.

5cm Quiet Deficit Deadlifts with pause on descent
2x5 175kg
1x6 175kg (first rep forgot to be quiet so I didn’t count it)

Low RPE, again working on dialling in my technique, explosiveness off the bottom and very long pause below the knee to really put a snap in my stiff bar off the ground, and get passed the wobble in my slack pull.

Paused bench
1x10 80kg
4x10 85kg

Dumbbell press
1x18 60kg
1x20 60kg

Reverse ez bar Curls
4x10 40kg

Hammer curls
1x10 25kg

Saturday:

Bench
1x3 80kg
1x2 100kg
1x9 100kg

Paused back squat:
2x7 137.5kg
Squat depth and descent speed is looking SIGNIFICANTLY better this week. Squat is starting to become more consistent across reps with the pauses, without any second guessing or slowing the rep near the hole.

Incline Dumbbell press
1x20, 2x12 50kg

Wide grip bent over row
3x15 50kg

Notes: coach said bloods look good to great. When he saw my “on” liver he said they were the highest he has ever seen. This is coming from someone who ran 700mg tren routinely and seldom took the foot off the gas on the gear throughout his career so that’s a fun. Hahahah. That being said I don’t think most people run liver tests ON tren and instead wait until the cruise period. He was also surprised that it went back down so quickly.

Upping the test by a bit feels like my recovery has sky rocketed. I already felt very good cruising but man right after a PL session I feel like I’m ready to go again. Just added an NPP/deca mix yesterday, and Tren ace yesterday as well and I am itching to up the intensity on the DL and Squat.

Notes: been an interesting week. Recently I’ve only had time to take care of the baby, work, take the dog out, lift and eat. everything seems to be going smoothly in that respect which makes me very happy. Newborn is in good health and seems to be getting more active each day. I lift during my lunch breaks (2hours) at work each day and Saturday when the baby falls asleep. I don’t really have any reason to slack off in training because of my lunch break. My personal life was a bit of a mess this week but likely for the better in the long run. I ended up hashing things out with my wife yesterday. we decided that we need to put family first and part of that means getting past whatever interpersonal problems the two of us had in our relationship. Hope the rest of the year continues to go smoothly and training goes well. Besides family lifting and work I don’t have any priorities so my progress should go well.

Women can get all kinds of emotional after a baby , its very natural and normal. In a way she is going to need you to lean on just as much as the baby for a while until her emotions and hormones return to normal.

That's great you both got things worked out and every thing has calmed down.

Lil one needs both of you to be at the top of your game , team work , understanding and a whole lot of love is where its at.

Right on man !! good shit with the work out too
