That does not change the fact that a person's ability to do pullups is limited by their strength to weight ratio - it simply provides a way to lessen the impact of the limitation and/or still get some benefit from the exercise. Following your [il]logic, I could claim that I can bench press 800lbs - if I use bungi cords attached to ceiling hooks to support enough of the weight.
Over head bands is called ,, lighten method.

We do that to work the lock out of the bench at the top. Bar gets heavier as the bands lose tension.

800 ? not unless you are some one like Big Mendi - Scott Mendelson (1200lb bench) or Jimmy Kolb (1320lb bench)

Irrelevant but consistent.

So are you :ROFLMAO:

My guess, IF you are 70 .. you couldn't move weight like that in your 20's even with a pallet jack.
I question if he really even trains with any level of seriousness.

I mean considering he does nothing but post chat GPT, the stuff this guy comes up with and then how he always comes back and says shit like "My OP was not to suggest rows over pullups or vice-versa".

It comes off as someone trying to cover their ass while playing expert on the internet. What's more weird is that he gets defensive for stuff he had chat GPT write... why would anyone get defensive over something they didn't come up with themselves? Just weird man.

He literally took your dumb bench press example and showed you a real world application in powerlifting.

If that's irrelevant then so are your analogies and explanations. FOH.

Personally if I'm going to work an accessory exercise for lats I would probably pick snatch grip deadlifts.

Strap up go snatch grip. You get the back work in , get good and thick , as well as work on your form.

The snatch grip will help folks with rounding issues and such.

It also forces you to get a bit lower in your set up which in turn helps to build speed and power coming off the floor. Similar to the way deficit deads do.

Who cares about bar speed ? We all do when it comes to max lifts on the platform , no straps allowed less time the bar is in your hands , less chance you have blowing the lift or destroying your self.

Great all around compound lift.

The OP was about widening lats, but several of the replies here have been irrelevant "dig me" posts from poor souls just wanting attention. To draw things back on topic, here are the highest ranked lat exercises from BodyBuilding.com:

Poor souls wanting attention? 🤣🤣🤣

Says the guy making daily chat GPT posts that no one wants or likes just to get attention. Even your latest response that I'm replying to here is attention seeking. It's drenched in drama.

You could have posted your link to bodybuilding.com without all the drama commentary. You're 68 years old, grow up man.

BTW, bodybuilding.com is a garbage site these days.. 😂

On rare occasions they do have some sick deals on protein, but that's about it.

Bodybuilding.com is more about selling merch than anything else now.

I have not found the "expert advice" offered here by Cartman and Bozo to be all that expert. On the other hand, the Exercise Guide at Bodybuilding.com is worth checking out. You may have to sign up to get full access, but you don't have to buy anything.

So we're bozos, and you're better than us? You have to be a child or a woman. I mean, 68 year old men don't act the way you do. 😂

You're delusional and you can't even come up with your own content for your posts. Then when people call you out, you always say "guys my intention was <insert some bullshit here>". You've done this on nearly every thread you've made 😂.

I get it, your feelings are hurt. I apologize sweetheart, don't be mad. If you need some cuddles too then just let @Yano know.

Would someone please ask chatfag what happens when you are doing seated rows with a dildo up your ass.

Engaging in any physical activity, especially exercise, requires prioritizing safety and comfort. If you were to attempt doing cable rows or any other exercise while engaging in a sexual activity, there could be a number of risks involved:
  1. Physical Discomfort or Injury: Inserting any object into the rectum while performing a movement like cable rows could create discomfort, injury, or cause the object to move in unexpected ways. The rectum is sensitive, and improper handling can lead to tears or other physical harm.
  2. Limited Focus or Control: Cable rows require a certain amount of concentration, stability, and control of the body. Having an object inserted could distract from proper form, making it difficult to perform the exercise safely and effectively, which could lead to strain, injury, or poor performance.
  3. Risk of Object Dislodging: The movement involved in cable rows could cause the inserted object to shift or dislodge, potentially leading to an unsafe situation.
  4. Hygiene Concerns: It's crucial to ensure that any object inserted into the body is clean and safe for use. If you're combining exercise with this kind of activity, the risk of contamination or infection increases, particularly if there is any contact with sweat or other surfaces.
It’s always important to prioritize safety, health, and well-being in any physical activity, so if you have concerns or want to experiment with different types of stimulation, it’s best to do so in a controlled, private, and safe environment. If you have questions about any activities or their risks, consulting with a medical professional is always a good option.
