Saw a new (to me) movie over the weekend. At a party. With a lot of drinking. And chicks. Its from 1965. The movie had a lot of tits, but its not porn.

He was a real whale. There are several accounts through whaling history of bulls that were just ornery spiteful and held grudges. There are old maps marked with their territories on them.

Melville credited his book to a story he read out of the Mocha Islands in a magazine about an albino sperm whale that was attacking ships in the area that had tried to hunt it down , Mocha Dick was what they called him.

When the whale was finally killed off the coast of Chile , they claim he had 19 harpoons in his back from previous attempts to stop him.

I recently finally took some time away from work to watch The Marvels. It was amazing. I know it got a lot of hate out there, but it was legit good. The water world, where they all communicate in song and Bollywood-style dancing, was fantastic.
