My introduction to Mark Wahlberg was with the movie Invincible when I was in high school.

Really great if you want an easy watch. Not intellectual, looks cool, simple plot but manages to stay interesting the whole time. Definitely a very fun flick Shea Whigham is in it and he's one of my favorite B list actors. Monsters, explosions, and moments of levity. Would recommend.

They're free on YouTube. Moc Video Productions was the main company doing bodybuilding documentaries in the '90s and '00s. This one was called Muscletime Productions.

It's cool seeing bodybuilding gyms/culture from the pre social media days. This was filmed in 2004; the Dennis James one was filmed in Thailand in 2000.

Pretty fun movie. Super corny at times because the source material is anime. Alternates between really pleasing visual effects and stuff that looks like dog shit. Maybe that's on purpose. Plot moved along quickly, had some cool scenes and the bad guy had a dope monologue. Never saw the original but I was entertained. 6.5/10
