I personally gained the most mass with this split
Monday - Chest and triceps
tuesday - back and biceps + forearms
Rest
Wednesday - Legs/glutes/calves/hamstrings
thursday - shoulders and traps
Friday - rest
Sunday - light cardio and abs

Rep ranges, mainly 8-12 reps, but some heavier sets I do 1-3 reps and also 12+ reps for lighter sets for muscular endurance
Mostly compound exercises (squat, bench, military press etc at the start, machines towards the end)
3-4 sets each exercise, 3-4 exercises each muscle group

Also eating heaps of protein, healthy fats and high fibre and complex carbs

Highly recommend this channel. Nearly at 6,000 subscribers and few videos a week.

I dont have any numbers for how much muscle I gained, but out of all the splits Ive tried, PPLPPLrest has given me the best gains while training mma several days a week at the same time

only spent about 30min per session (a bit longer on legs usually) and wasnt ever too fatigued but was still gaining strength steadily

also tried to keep it to 3 exercises generally, like for push id do BB incline bench, DB shoulder press and dips or something like that

I gained my most mass with PPL. But that was also in my early days so the split probably mattered less then the fact that i had a lot of growth that could happen relatively quickly. As the gains slowed over time i started breaking the body into smaller groups to train just so i could be in the gym training which is what i liked to do. And did well with that. If i had kept the PPL all along and just incorporated more rest days i may have done as well or better. No way to know.
