Why is it entirely different feeling, if Í eat 1000 kcal a day, than if Í eat 2000, and burn 1000 by exercises, the latter Í am much less hungary, yet it is mathly the same?

Well, your body can sense that you ate more food, so hunger signaling is dampened.

You probably had more nutrition, ie vitamins and minerals, so that could also damper hunger signaling.

Also, if you're using what machines/watches say that you're burning for calories, those are notoriously inaccurate, so your deficit is probably smaller than you think that it is.

Could also just be in your head.

Also.... Don't diet on 1,000 calories, that's just dumb.

Maybe, but probably not.

And you'd still have to subtract the calories you would've burned in those 2.5 hours, if you weren't walking. If you would've normally burned 400 calories otherwise, your true deficit is only 600 calories. Yup, it works like that.

The calculators are just guesses. I would NEVER use those numbers to offset the calories that I'm eating.

Remember the first time that you jogged a mile, how hard it was? But it became easier over time, right? Our bodies get efficient with movement, and the better we become at them, the more often that we do them, we'll burn less calories doing the same work.

This is exactly why I like to tell people to add in more cardio before cutting calories if their progress stalls out when they’re cutting.
