Young girl suffers brain damage from Wendy's meal

The family of a 13 year old girl are suing Wendy's for $20,000,000. An E. Coli infection caused the girl to nearly die in the summer of 2022. Nearly two years later she is struggling with brain damage:

The family of an 11-year-old Michigan girl claimed “disgusting” Wendy’s conditions severely infected their daughter with an E. coli-related disease in a new $20 million lawsuit, according to a report.

Aspen Lamfers had stopped at an Ottawa County Wendy’s on Aug. 1, 2022, ordering a hamburger, chicken nuggets and fries after softball practice, the family’s attorney, Tom Worsfold, told WOOD TV.

After nearly three agonizing weeks of battling the deadly disease in the hospital, Aspen was sent to a rehab clinic for a week and then finally sent home.

“It’s almost a miracle she survived,” Worsfold said.

The Lamfers family has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Meritage Hospitality Group — the owners of the Wendy’s from which they claim their daughter contracted the deadly disease — on April 4.

So anytime we eat at any kind of restaurant, our life and safety are pretty much in their hands. That's crazy to think about.

It's always been like that.

It's always been like that. There's a doc on Netflix about it basically the processing places keep it kinda clean but it's up to the consumer to re clean/wash and then fully cook either themselves or a restaurant.

The FDA people were asked what would they not eat. And many said things that need to be cut and then the outside things can Infect the inside things. Like cantaloupe. Pineapple and avocados. Many more like that. And said chopped salad in a bag is the worst cuz it has Romain and that's very common to having stuff on it.
