1st meal 50 gr of whey protein isolate. Banana
2nd 112 gr cottage cheese with 2 oz berries
Snack 1 oz peanuts or almonds
Lunch 8oz of boneless skinless chicken breast, 6 oz broccoli, 1 oz ranch.
Snack 1 oz of nuts
Dinner 6-8 oz of chicken, fish, pork or beef. 6 oz of a veggie
Last meal 50 gr of casein blended with 3 oz fruit.

What are your thoughts on reverse dieting, specifically with a view to "resetting" TDEE? I feel like my maintenance is currently something crazy like 1400kcal I've been at it so long. I've read a handful of anecdotal stories of people slowly increasing calories back to what their maintenance should be without gaining any weight. Then cut again more effectively.
Your maintenance isn’t 1400. My thoughts on reverse dieting are you’re wasting weeks getting back to maintenance. I’d just get to an estimated maintenance as quick as possible and adjust from week to week. If you’re still dropping weight increase cals if you’re gaining weight then lower them. I don’t like aggressive bulks or cuts.
Even when I get to extremely low cals I’ve taken my time to get there and only then it’s for 2-4 weeks to pull off what ever fat is left. Also I’m on a lot of anabolics.
If you do a fat loss phase correctly you can build muscle and lose fat at the same time for a while. If you cut too aggressively you lose too much muscle and end up either skinny fat or stuck spinning your wheels

Something I really like to get people to do is eat at a slight surplus for estimated lean body mass not scale weight.

Just doing an IIFYM type diet with no specific meal plan in place.
It works for me, I like it

I like iifym. I’m not a fan of restrictive dieting

I was at a steady 250kcal surplus last year and weight went up accordingly (tracking every day and taking the average). I wish the same was true of my 500kcal defecit :unsure::D
