As a natty (trained natty my 1st 38 years of lifting), I never wanted to gain fat, so I kept it at 500-1000 calories over maintenance (for 30 years).
I gained 35 lbs in 30 yrs of lean mass, but most people today arent patient. We had no internet or anabolics anyways in my day (in my area) so we did what we could. I jumped on TRT at age 50 (7 yrs ago) and just maintain that weight (200 lbs)... NO need to over-eat in a big way like teh Pro's. Just look at many of t ehir horrible mid-secions. (Separated ab-walls, etc).
I’ve never touched steroids and I know if I started I’d never want to stop. I’m sure I’d get addicted to the gains.
