Great lift though. Making those 120s look like a walk in the park.

Workout 6/17/23

Dehydrated on this workout and was catching the weird cramps like I posted in my other thread while working out. I did, however , find that if I take in a seemingly high amount of potassium it goes away, plus some salt. I already took a good amount before, now even more so. But I work outside in the hot humid south and sweat all day, I’m sure that doesn’t help. This AM I was doing projects around the house and was non stop sweating and even though it try to be proactive, today it wasn’t enough. Still a decent workout non the less.

While deadlifting i was going for 10 reps on 455, weight was moving very well, so good in fact I got lazy and on rep 6 I goofed in my head and didn’t use the flutes as hard as I should’ve in the hinge portion of the lift. Used some low back. I locked it out and stood there to see how I felt. Dropped the weight since I wasn’t sure and stopped there.

I can say after waking up today, I goofed. I think my actual back is fine, but my QL is always my nemesis in this type of situation so it’s got my hips shifted from my right QL being right and it doesn’t feel good at all to walk. Stretching it gives me about 5 mins of relief so I know it’s QL. Been there done that.
Toward the end of my workout I started feeling it some.

I’ve been in need of a deaload, but being we leave Thursday for the beach I wanted two good getting after it workouts before going. Then let the vacation be deload. Rest of me feels fine and once I get moving more than just walking, I feel alright. So I suspect I’ll skip squats Wednesday maybe for some leg extensions or something. We will see how I feel.

You definitely put in the work yesterday; I'm glad your back isn't hurt too bad.

Destin Fl. Packing up the camper and going down.

Weather hasn’t looked great lately but Rainey day at the beach is better than nothing.lol.

But, normally you get sunny mornings/early afternoon then by later afternoon is when the storms roll in. So you can still get some good time in the beach and just watch, cause that crap sneaks up on you haha.

Our oldest lives in Sumter SC with his family , he said the weathers been weird.
